There are many different ways to approach your web site. Thousands of technologies to choose from, scores of browsers to maintain compatability with, and an infinate number of marketing strategies you can employ. So, how do you choose which solution is best for you? It may not be as difficult as it may seem. By applying some traditional marketing techniques before you start you should be able to quickly narrow your choices to those that will best empower you to reach your intended audience.
The trick is to first spend the time defining your intended audience and the action that you wish for them to take. Then we can use technology choices to enhance your presentation and capture it's full potential. The key here is that your needs and audience should drive the technology instead of the other way around.
